Another amazing day! I completely forgot about it, but today was a big day as they did the ultrasound of his brain to make sure his noggin is growing right. The results came back normal, which is to say all is well! So, that led to another momentous occassion, which was his first shampoo. He also got to ditch the CPAP in favor of the canulla (2L @ room air). He's doing well on that with only a few expected Bs. They continue to up his feedings
and he's at 11cc every 3 hours. He's also digesting most of it which is great! He still hasn't had his poo yet, but docs say his belly is soft which is good. They are going to try to hold off on the glycerin tonight to see if he can't pull it off. I apologize for last night's poo tyrade, but every parent knows it's a price you gladly pay to get to hang out with your little peops.Sarah put up a sign in the yard that the girls are quite fond of. Within the first 1/2 hour, Grace walked up to it about a dozen times and gave it a hug and a kiss.
Below is a pic of Luke eating (formula, not the IV). It's kind of dark, but you can see the syringe in the upper left corner. It just hangs there and lets gravity do it's job. The tube goes straight to his belly, no swallowing/sucking required. Mmmm... tasty.
I just want to reiterate our EXTREME gratitude for all your amazing support!! Now I know she's all hopped up on hormones, but Sarah can barely speak of it without breaking down (the happy tears, not the bitter ones). So, once again, THANK YOU!!!peace.

For the picts (which are adorable!!) I clicked on, at the bottom right hand of the page, an underlined phrase "Posts (Atom)" and was taken to another page that showed the pictures. Little Luke is looking good, and the girls are SO sweet in their matching dresses with the sign.
Many happy thoughts are heading to Luke, and Christopher remembers him in his goodnight prayers.
